Everyday Lightroom Presets for Desktop & Mobile - Legacy Presets

Everyday Lightroom Presets for Desktop & Mobile - Legacy Presets
2026 Updated Info - These presets were my go to from 2021 to 2024, but I am now working with the Nostalgia Presets and these presets will likely receive no further updates. I still stand by the quality and utility of these presets, but they are not the style that I am currently editing in. With that in mind if you enjoy the style of the sample images below please don’t let this deter you as they still work brilliantly. Feel free to contact me on hello@simonhird.com or @simonhird on instagram and I can help you choose if you are unsure which set to go for.
These were the presets I used everyday to edit my outdoor, travel and wedding photos using Adobe Lightroom. The presets come formatted for both Mobile & Desktop and you will get a PDF guide on how to use and install them too. Making these presets was a game changer for me in speeding up my workflow. I applied these presets to all my photos between 2021 and 2024 and for the most part I would just tweak exposure, white balance and tint to get my photos to the look I want and that’s it! There are a number of presets within this set and all have been tested to suit different types of conditions and lighting situations.
2024 Update - A full refresh and 5 new looks
After 2 years since the initial release of my Everyday presets I have made a few tweaks to the original 5 and added a few other variations into the mix. I think finding your editing style is a constant work in progress and whilst I still love the original presets, I am very happy with the updates I have made to the style I have developed over the last 7 years. Here’s a rundown of the updates and the new additions:
SH - 1b. Everyday v2 - my base preset has been updated to be slightly darker and less contrasty with softer highlights and shadows.
SH - 2b. Everyday Contrast v2 - the contrast version of this preset has followed the same sort of update to allow it to be more consistent in different lighting scenarios
SH - 3b. Everyday Muted v2 - after a while of use, I found this preset only seemed to work well for me indoors or in other high-contrast scenes. But I’ve re-designed this one to give a more soft and matte look for use in a wider array of scenes
SH - 4a & 4b. Everyday Soft v1 & v2 - this is a new preset that I developed that is somewhere between the original 3 colour presets and is now my regular preset for commercial work. V1 was my original more contrasty version of this preset and v2 is the softer version. I enjoy using them both depending on the scene.
SH - 5. Everyday Film Cool - this is my Everyday Soft preset but reworked to give it a slightly cooler more film-like look, I love this one for weddings.
SH - 6a & 6b. Everyday Film Warm v1 & v2 - this again was a rework of the everyday soft preset to give a slightly more heavy and warm film look. V1 is the heavier version and v2 is more akin to Everyday Soft but with a slightly warm film haze.
SH - 7. Everyday Vibrant - this one was built after I had a client who wanted very bright and colourful images. It’s my everyday look but with the colours at full whack. This isn’t one I use regularly, but is useful for certain projects.
SH - 8a & 8b. Classic B+W - this is a new B+W preset that I now use as my staple for wedding photography. There is the original version and a lower-contrast one for use in high-contrast lighting scenes to soften the image.
